Pacific Laboratory
Medicine Services (PaLMS) is a Business Unit of Northern
Sydney Health. Formed in 1997, it provides a comprehensive and integrated
pathology service to Royal North Shore, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai, Manly,
Mona Vale and Ryde Hospitals and their communities.
As an organisation, we bring together under one Business Unit of
Northern Sydney Health, a network of expertise comprising the pathology
services based on the campus of Royal North Shore (RNSH), Manly, Mona
Vale, Ryde, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai and Gladesville-Macquarie Hospitals.
This coverage of the northern Sydney area, combined with network
partnerships and collaborations with other like-minded pathology providers
throughout Australasia, allows us to offer our clients an unsurpassed
level of quality and service in clinical and laboratory medicine.
To achieve and maintain this standard of excellence, our organisational
structure has evolved as detailed below. The formation of Policy Advisory
Councils and a Pathology Board has reinforced our commitment to meeting
the challenges of the future as an innovative, customer-responsive
business offering truly outstanding laboratory services for all members
of the community.
